The dinosaur toys that are available range from stuffed animals to figurines to Dinosaur Train interaction figures to train cars to Dinosaur Train games and educational items such as books and puzzles. Which toy is right for your little one, is very dependent upon your child’s age and interests. For example if your child is 2 years old you might consider the stuffed animal, but if your child is 5 years old, a book or puzzle or the interaction figures may be more appropriate. Kids will be kids, but let me stop a minute and let you know why I am excited about the Dinosaur Train DVD (without disclosing my age). The show is very popular right now among pre-school aged kids and is growing in popularity and may soon be as big of a hit as Jim Henson’s other huge success from when I was a kid, the Muppets. Similar to the Muppets, it is just a matter of time and there will be other fun videos to see. Can you imagine how excited your little ones would be if there was a Dinosaur Train movie? The characters are all unique with their own personalities, and the shows creators could easily move from the current weekday morning TV show to the box office, maybe even a Dinosaur Train 3D movie. Anyway, I am excited about it and the Dinosaur Train phenomenon is definitely here, let’s see how far it goes. Kids love to watch the show and I have to say, it is pretty fun for parents and grandparents to watch with their kids.

There are a lot of places to find streaming video of Dinosaur Train full episodes too, such as youtube, hulu or on PBS kids. But if that just won’t do, get them their own DVD, you know they’ll love it!

That song would take me a long time to learn, but my daughter is picking it up faster than I would have thought she could. Pretty amazing, but that is not her only favorite Dinosaur train song. There are several great songs, there is the Dinosaur Train theme song which we learn later was written by King Cryolophosaurus, the Hungry Hungry Herbivore song, the Dinosaur Train song (different than the theme song), Buddy’s I’m a T-Rex song, the infamous Dinosaur Train Every Dinosaur Poops song, a little number called We Did It, the Troodon Night Train Song, A-Z (see the Dinosaur Train dinosaur alphabet song above), Sing So Free (where Shiny learns how to improvise featuring Buddy playing the drumsticks above his head), Cryolophosaurus Crest, the “I love Trains” song and of course the Dinosaur Train All Aboard song. All of the tunes are very catchy, super fun for dinosaur kids, and some of them will be available to watch over and over again soon on a new Dinosaur Video called Dinosaur Train: Dino-Mighty Music.

Hopefully these songs won’t have your kids singing strange things when you invite over guests, like the Dinosaur Train poop song, or la la loo (a short little song that Don seems to sing a lot). But it might be kind of fun too to hear your little munchkin sing the hungry herbivore while they eat their greens at a dinner with friends or family. Learn all of the songs and have a lot of fun with your kids. If you can’t find a place to watch Dinosaur Train online for free, such as youtube, you can always go to the official PBS kids Dinosaur Train website. Also, watch for these songs to be available on itunes or mp3 or even ringtones, and it is likely that a Dinosaur Train soundtrack will be released at some point in the future. For starters, PBS Kids.org is loaded with free Dinosaur Train kids games. Finding a safe place for kids online can be challenging, but this website has a ton of great content, and is very kid friendly. They should be able to find free Dinosaur Train games online such as Pteranodon Fishing, Hungry Hungry Herbivore, All Aboard, Field Guide, Dino Tracks, and How Big Are You? They can play these games over and over again until they either master them, or until their parents say enough is enough. I can remember having to help exit from the Hungry herbivore game more than once.

There are also some great coloring pages free on PBS kids. These Dinosaur Train coloring pages are basically dinosaur train graphics, pictures, or images, in black and white and they are printable so that your kids can pull out their ever favorite color crayons and go to town. Lots of fun so don’t forget to try these Dinosaur Train printables while you are online at PBS Kids. Also, check out the field guide which can be very educational for those who want to learn as much as they can about Dinosaur species and nature. Dr. Scott the Paleontologist does a great job on the show and the field guide is an extension of those lessons for kids to learn more and more about dinosaurs.

There are also some great Dinosaur Train games that your kids will love to play and learn with. For example the Dino Fun Dinosaur Train Buddy.
