Dinosaur Train Episodes Guide – A Complete Dinosaur Train Episode List and the Episodes with Kids Favorite Dinosaur Train Songs
The other day my daughter saw a frog and said “look Daddy, a Palaeobatrachus”. She is only 4 years old and learned the word from one of the Dinosaur Train Episodes, Campout!. This Dinosaur Train Episodes Guide will hopefully help to jog your memory of the names of the episodes so that you can remember the characters and songs that were in each episode. Hopefully the Dinosaur Train DVD will be released with all of the full episodes, but until then you can remember the name of your favorite episodes and check the Dinosaur Train TV Schedule on PBS Kids.org to watch Dinosaur Train live on the air.

So for now those are the episodes, but if kids keep watching the show, they will just have to make more and more new episodes, so stay tuned. So which episodes have the Kids Favorite Dinosaur Train Songs. Here are a list of the songs, a short description, and the episode that they came from:
Dinosaur Train Theme Song – A fun rhythm and rhyme that explains the Pteranodon / T-Rex connection, kinda a cross between the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and The Brady Bunch, with a little more of a Country Rock beat. This theme song is the opening song for every episode of the Dinosaur Train.
Dinosaur Train Hungry Herbivore Song – A brachiosaurus with a nice voice sings about how much he loves to eat greens. Very funny and entertaining. It is played several times between episodes, but it first appeared on the early herbivore episodes Triceratops for Lunch and Ned the Quadruped.
I’m a T-Rex Song – A fun song by Buddy about finding out that he is a Tyrannosaurus Rex that eats meat. This song is introduced during everybody’s favorite episode I’m a T. Rex!.
Dinosaur Train Every Dinosaur Poops! – Kids love this song, don’t ask why. They just think it is so funny. Tiny sings a simple song and just puts it right out there, a simple fact of life, “every dinosaur poops”. This song is appropriately introduced in the episode called Dinosaur Poop!.
Troodon Night Train Song – Mr. Conductor sings a fun song about the Dinosaur Train at night, since he and the other Troodons sleep during the day and are up at night. This song is on the episode called Night Train.
Dinosaurs A-Z – Mr. Conductor sings the Dinosaur Train A to Z song, naming one dinosaur for every letter of the alphabet. This song shows up on the One Smart Dinosaur episode.
Sing So Free – Shiny learns how to improvise, and sing a super fun, scat filled rhyme. Kids love this song and it shows up in the Hootin’ Hadrosaurs! episode.
Crylophosaurus Crest – King Crylophosaurus sings about his head crest. This shows up in the episode appropriately titled King Crylophosaurus.
That is just a few of the favorite Dinosaur Train songs introduced so far. They are constantly introducing new dino train songs and making the show more and more fun for kids to watch. Stay tuned for more exciting songs!
The Dinosaur Train cartoon has a character list that seems to continue to grow too, in some ways it kind of reminds me of the muppets. So far the Dinosaur Train characters include Buddy, Tiny, Shiny, Don, The Conductor, Mr. Pteranodon, Mrs. Pteranodon, Tank Triceratops, Morris Stegasaurus, Ned Brachiosaurus, Annie Tyrannosaurus, Laura the Giganotosaurus and many more, too many to name. Here is a list of the dinosaur species that the show covered already or plans to cover in the near future, each one is usually covered by a short episode followed by Dr. Scott the paleontologist explaining hypothesis about that particular dinosaur species. Here is the list of the species from Dinosaur Train:
